We took a bit of a road trip across the border deeper south in 'Bama. Bryce found through his wonderful forums he is constantly checking a set of nice wheels at an acceptable price in great condition so we headed to Huntsville (we actually met the man in Scottsboro, a much smaller town 45 min. from Huntsville). This was our first time in Alabama and it is actually different from Georgia. They have yelllow and blue road signs and the trees are a bit different. Lots of marshy water instead of lakes and ponds. Bryce would be pleased if you took a moment out of your day to look and appreciate the new wheels. Bryce would love to hear your feedback. Positive only please.

I believe Bryce is trying to show that the wheels bend in a bit toward the hub. One very important detail - not to be ignored. :) I am just informed that the photo also shows the steel gray (darker gray) that's on the inner sides of each spoke.
The sweet part of this is we found a little firestone/pool supply place (yes, both were in the same building, run by the same people) that charged only $50 to take off the old ones and put on the new ones and do whatever it is with switching the tire pressure sensors. Other places were going to charge $130. We took it.
Also, as a side note we at the No.1 Chinese Buffet. that is what it was called. Everyone there was oriental, and I was wondering what it would be like to be the only asians in Scottsboro, Alabama... how do you end up there? There is no offense to be taken to this statement. Don't make it up.

It must have been totally worth the drive to get to eat at the No.1Chinese restaurant. I often wonder why people end up in little towns too. Maybe they stopped there once & wanted chinese food. Not finding one they then decided it looked like a good place to live & opened a restaurant. Now everyone can have chinese. I could be right you know.
BIG improvement!! Not sure how you've driven around for this long with the old ones! That is one SWEET station wagon.
P.S. I'm slightly offended by the oriental comment.
LOVE the new rims. Wheels always make a car look the way it should. Glad you just made the trip and did it. Now you could sell the old ones or put winter tires on the old ones just in case you want to enter a snow rally or something. It was great seeing you guys and we'll try to make it down there some time.

The 'Bama wheels are great. The adventure of crossing into the deep south is quite the tale. I must say I'm with you, how do some people end up in the places they do. I'm betting there's an interesting story there.
I have family in Huntsville, you two are crazy! I can't believe you drove all the way up there for wheels! Although I guess the drive is not nearly as bad without four kids and a whiny husband in the car :D

Sorry about the vacuum thing. Now Bryce really hates me! Anyway, thanks for having the demo...I hope you just told the guy to get the heck out and take his $2000 air purifier with him. Seriously!!! who buys those things?
